Frequently Asked Questions

fWhen should I book my wedding hair stylst?
Most brides will book their hair or make up artist soon after setting their wedding date. Due to Beautiful You Irelands high demand we recommend that you secure and book your wedding date as soon as you can to ensure availability.

How do I book my wedding date with Carrie at Beautiful You Ireland?
A deposit of €100 is requiquired to officially book secure your wedding date. This is non refundable but is deducted off your remaining wedding balance on your wedding day. Due to a high amount of enquiries dates cannot be held without a deposit. This can be paid online or cash.

Is there a minimum requirement of people booking for my wedding?
Yes. A minimum of 3 is required. Any last minute cancellations will still be charged.

Do you do hair trials?
Yes. Getting your hair right is so important for such a special occassion so it is essential that you have a trial or maybe two will be needed to achieve your desired look.

Where do hairtrials take place?
Carrie is purely mobile so trials take place at your home or chosen venue within Galway.

Does the deposit cover the hair trial?
No. Your hair trial is a seperate payment due to be paid on the day of the trial.

How long before my wedding should I book my trial?
This varies depending on the brides availability as international brides may only have the option of the week before their wedding date. This is no problem so just talk to Carrie as soon as you have booked your wedding to get the date that suits for your trial booked as soon as possible.
Usually up to two months prior is plenty time. If you come too early your hair may not be the accurate length, colour, condition or shape needed for your desired style.
It can always help to have a chat with Carrie first as early as you wish to discuss your hair goal as your hair length, colour and condition may take time to get right. Carrie is a designer stylist and has helped hundreds of brides achieve their hair goal with the correct advice.

What should I take with me to the hair trial?
Bring hair pictures ( choose your top 3 at most) and any other inspiration that you might have. We recommend setting up a Pinterest board to keep track of everything. It is a great way to visualise the overall concept of the Wedding.
Wear make up (If you will be wearing it on the big day): even if minimal. It doesnt have to be done professionally for the trial. One of the most common things we experience is brides not wearing make up when they are having their trial, which can effect the overall look.
Bring any hair accessories you may have and a picture of your dress to help Carrie look at the overall theme.
Bring hair extensions with you if needed. Disuss this prior to your trial with Carrie.

Do I have to have my hair up?
No. An upstyle isn't suited to everyone, but bare in mind not all hair types will survive the day with a downstyle, especially in typical Irish weather.
This is where a trial is so important!
Be yourself. It can be tempting to go for a dramatic and different look but remember that you should still look like yourself. Go with your gut and don’t listen to too many opinions.

Do you work with hair extensions?
Yes. Wither it be permanent or clip in extensions Carrie has worked with all types. They are fantastic for creating more volume and length so speak to Carrie about the best method for your desired hairstyle. No one likes to see hair bonds on their wedding day! Clip ins are a great alternative.

Can I change my hair colour?
Yes, but don't go for a dramatic change just before your wedding. If you want to change your hair colour start looking at the options up to a year in advance. Carrie is a senior colour technician so again can help guide you in the right direction.

Do you travel to my location to work?
Yes. Carrie is 100%  mobile and will come to your chosen destination. No need for you to worry about travel, parking or bad weather elements! Lovely experience to have everyone styled in the comfort of your surroundings.
